RELATIONSHIP challenges
Relationships play an important role in our wellbeing. They can bring connection, support, and meaning to our lives. At the same time, relationships can also be one of the most complex and emotionally challenging parts of being human.
Difficulties with a partner, tension within families, challenges with friends, or feelings of disconnection can leave people feeling hurt, misunderstood, or uncertain about how to move forward.
You may find yourself experiencing:
• ongoing conflict with a partner or family member
• difficulty communicating your needs or feelings
• patterns of repeating unhealthy relationship dynamics
• trust issues or feelings of insecurity
• struggles with boundaries
• feeling disconnected, unheard, or unfulfilled in relationships
When relationships become strained, it can affect many areas of life, including emotional wellbeing, confidence, and sense of stability.
At A Question of Life Counselling, I provide a supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore what may be happening within your relationships and how these experiences are affecting you. Counselling offers an opportunity to reflect on patterns, develop greater self-awareness, and consider new ways of responding.
My approach is grounded in Person-Centred Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, creating a calm environment where you can explore relationship challenges with openness and honesty. My work is also guided by the PAUSE framework, which helps clients slow down, understand relational patterns, and begin developing healthier and more authentic ways of connecting with others.
Sometimes counselling helps people strengthen communication and rebuild trust. At other times, it can support individuals in understanding their needs more clearly and making decisions that feel right for them
