Anxiety and STRESS

Anxiety is a natural part of being human. At times, worry or fear can even help us respond to challenges. But when anxiety becomes constant — when overthinking, panic, or fear begin to shape daily life — it can feel exhausting and overwhelming.

You may find yourself experiencing:

• persistent worry or racing thoughts
• social anxiety or fear of judgement
• panic attacks
• difficulty relaxing or switching off
• specific fears or phobias
• feeling constantly on edge or overwhelmed

When anxiety becomes overwhelming, it can affect sleep, relationships, work, and your sense of confidence in everyday life.

At A Question of Life Counselling, I provide a calm and supportive space where you can begin to explore what may be contributing to your anxiety. Counselling allows us to slow things down, understand patterns of thought and behaviour, and gently work toward new ways of responding.

My approach is grounded in Person-Centred Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, alongside practical strategies that support emotional awareness and resilience. My work is also guided by the PAUSE framework, which helps clients slow down, understand what may be driving their anxiety, and begin developing calmer ways of responding.

Together we work toward developing greater clarity, understanding, and confidence in managing anxiety so that it no longer feels like it is controlling your life.

Anxiety does not have to define your future. With the right support, it is possible to develop calmer ways of responding to life’s challenges and move forward with greater balance and self-trust.
